Hi! Iā€™m Jen Abrams

I am an Associate Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist (ACAAB) through the Animal Behavior Society, a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer (CSAT), and a licensed veterinary technician (LVT) with a masters degree in Animal Behavior & Conservation from Hunter College. I am currently a PhD student in Cognitive & Comparative Psychology at the CUNY Graduate Center.

I have worked as a Behavior Consultant with Behavior Vets and as the Behavior Program Manager and Director of Animal Welfare at Animal Care Centers of NYC. I currently offer a limited number of dog behavior consultations and behavior modification training sessions, specializing in separation anxiety, city-related fears and phobias, and undersocialization. I work virtually worldwide and in-person in Brooklyn, NY.

My goal is to minimize conflict and emphasize relationships.

I look at your dog as an individual. There are no cookie-cutter approaches to behavior modification.

My approach balances significant formal education in animal behavior with years of practical, hands-on experience.
